Miller Hired as New Game Warden

Hunting Edition

Sidney native Jim Miller has returned to Richland County as the game warden for Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks. The Sidney High School graduate brings a wealth of experience with him having been stationed in Missoula, Glendive, Forsyth, West Yellowstone, Livingston and Gardiner. His transfer to Richland County was effective July 1. Miller will also be responsible for parts of McCone County and will help out statewide wherever he is needed.

Miller’s main focus will be to work on and maintain landowner/sportsman relationships. He wishes to build on those relationships and make sure they are positive. He also wants the public and the MT FWP to have a good relationship and make sure the public is receiving the services they need.

FWP transfers are voluntary and Miller is happy to be in Richland County. “I love to bird hunt and fish, and Richland County is just a great place to live,” he said. Miller and his wife Kathy plan to live in Crane.

Miller encourages the public to contact 1-800-TIP-MONT to report any violations of game laws. He is also available at 406-853-7272 or email him at [email protected].
