A great offering for parents in the area is a Parent Café being held the first Wednesday of each month from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Public Library basement. This gathering allows time for parents to learn what’s going on at their schools, receive information and share ideas. You should bring your own lunch. The October 3rd meeting is a presentation called “You can’t stop what you don’t know,” by Sidney Middle School principal Kelly Johnson. This presentation provides information about the hidden drug and alcohol messages promoted in teen music, clothing, and other products.
