Some State Historic Sites Changing Visitation Hours for Fall and Winter

Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is located 22 miles southwest of Williston at Fort Buford. Beginning on Sept. 16, 2012, the Missouri Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center’s winter visitation hours will be Wednesdays-Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m. (CT) The Center is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

At the Chateau de Mores State Historic Site, the chateau home in Medora will close for the 2012 season on Sept. 15, but the site’s interpretive center is open year-round. Interpretive Center winter hours are Wednesday-Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (MT).

Fort Buford near Williston is open throughout the winter by appointment only.
