MDT proposes a rumble strip project for six counties in eastern Montana
The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) would like to notify the public and seek comments on a proposal to install shoulder rumble strips and centerline rumble strips on several routes in eastern Montana. The specific locations of the proposed rumble strips are as follows:

Proposed work includes milling the rumble strips into the existing surface, applying a fog seal to the milled pavement, and reapplying pavement markings to the milled areas.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2013, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding.
No new Right-of-Way or utility relocations will be needed.
