Sidney Health Center Set to Host Another “Live it up!” Event for Local Women

Sidney Health Center will host its sixth “Live it up!” event for women on Monday, September 10 with a focus on wellness and empowerment. The program for the evening will be “Energize with Diva Dance,” empowering women to find practical and fun ways to create a happier and healthier lifestyle.

Once again, the evening promises to be fun, educational and entertaining. The festivities will kick-off at the Richland County Fair Event Center with a vendor fair at 4:30 p.m. featuring various independent distributors offering goods ranging from home décor to jewelry to gourmet food products. A light menu including appetizers, finger foods and refreshments will be served beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by a brief health message and an entertaining, interactive presentation by motivational guest speaker, Chris Linnares at 7:00 p.m.

International author, renowned Brazilian psychotherapist and successful Weight Loss Master Coach, Chris Linnares has quickly become a leading voice for women’s wellness and empowerment. Linnares completed advanced studies in Cognitive Therapy at Harvard University and is the author of several books on women’s empowerment, including the award-winning book and social project, “Beautiful Women of North Dakota.” Founder of the Diva Connection Foundation and creator of the acclaimed Diva Dance, her pioneering work and inspiring life story has been featured in Marie Claire, Shape and Women’s Health.

Diva Dance was created by Chris Linnares in her journey to discover a more natural way to overcome depression, grief and overweight battles after a dramatic change when she got married and left a successful career in the tropics of Brazil to move to the tundra of Fargo, North Dakota. To take part in this fun, educational program individuals must be 21 years of age. All “Live it up!” events are designed to empower women to live life to the fullest by encouraging them to care for themselves and the ones they love.
