McKenzie County 4-H Consumer Choices judgers were recognized for finishing in fourth place at the State 4-H Consumer Choices Junior Division contest held on July 24 at the ND State Fair in Minot.
Karissa Monsen, daughter of Clayton and Vicki Monsen of Watford City, placed 17th individually while teammates Carlton and AndrinaTurnquist, children of David and Erica Turnquist of Alexander, placed 20th and 22nd respectively. Final team member, Krystal Wold, daughter of Gary and Sue Wold of Watford City came in 27th place. The McKenzie County judgers were among 65 4-Hers competing in this annual contest.
4-H Consumer Choices judging activities are designed to help youth develop decision making skills. Their ability to observe and evaluate written materials as well as reciting oral reasons to justify their decisions determines their success in judging events.
