Last Thursday, Warren Sundet, Foundation Director at Mercy Medical Center will present Hunter Berg of Williston State College (WSC) Athletic Department with a check for proceeds raised from the 2012 Mercy Community Sale. The net proceeds of this year's Community Sale resulted in a financial success of approximately $50,215 which will be used to benefit area youth. "We enjoyed helping make the Community Sale a success. It will be a great way to jumpstart our fastpitch program and continue our success in baseball and Phil Rabon Field. We're grateful we had the opportunity and can't thank Mercy Medical Center and the community of Williston enough," said Hunter Berg, Athletic Director at Williston State College.
Warren Sundet, Director of Mercy Medical Foundation shared, "Each year the community sale provides an exciting opportunity for Mercy Medical Center to work alongside organizations that infuses a mass of energy, enthusiasm and hard work into the event and this year was no exception. The WSC Athletic Department knocked one out of the park!" The proceeds will be used to support student athletes through the new women's fastpitch and men's baseball programs at Williston State College.
To date, the Williston region has realized a cumulative total of $726,545 that has been invested in projects for area youth over the past 22 years. The 2012 Community Sale was held on Saturday, April 28th at the Raymond Family Community Center in Williston.
