The Foundation for Community Care is pleased to announce the winners of its 2012 Healthcare Scholarships. The scholarship program was established to provide Richland County and rural northeastern Montana with a continuing source of highly qualified healthcare personnel.
“The Foundation for Community Care’s mission is helping to ensure the continuance and quality of local healthcare services. Supporting dedicated students in their studies towards a healthcare degree is a way for the Foundation to give back to the community,” said Foundation for Community Care Executive Director, Staci Miller. “Our scholarship program is funded entirely by donations from the community. That support has allowed us to grant over $38,000 to qualified students since 2001.”
Sidney Health Center also contributes funds to the Foundation for Community Care’s healthcare scholarship program on an annual basis that is designated for employees or family members of employees. “As a healthcare organization, we must continue to support and encourage local people to pursue healthcare careers,” said Rick Haraldson, CEO of Sidney Health Center. “After all, our long-term goal is to provide quality care for generations to come,” Haraldson added.To donate to the Foundation for Community Care’s Healthcare Scholarship Fund, contact the staff at (406) 488-2273 or send your contribution to 221 2nd St. NW, Sidney, MT 59270. McKenzie Ann Carda
McKenzie graduated from Sidney High School in 2011 and is currently attending University of North Dakota studying Psychology/Pre-Med.
Jenna Donahue
Jenna is a 2002 graduate of Sidney High School and is currently attending Miles Community College pursuing a profession as a Registered Nurse.
MaKenzie Johnson
MaKenzie graduated from Lambert High School in 2009 and is currently attending Carroll College studying to be a Pediatrician.
Renee Riedmann
Renee graduated from Sidney High School in 2011 and is currently attending Bismarck State College for Nursing.
Stephanie Ler
Stephanie is a 2006 graduate from Mt Hope High School, Bristol, RI now residing in Sidney, MT. She is attending Nova Southeastern University studying to be a Public Health Professional.
Allison Peterson
Allison graduated Sidney High School in 2004 and is currently attending Belmont University studying to be a Nurse Practitioner.
Michelle Frank
Michelle is a 1993 graduate of Fairview High School and is currently attending University of Mary pursuing a Master’s degree to be a Family Nurse Practitioner.
