Young Women between the ages of 10-25 looking to improve their horsemanship skills or to prepare for rodeo queen competition are invited to the 3rdAnnual Miss Rodeo Montana Horsemanship Clinic, June 15th – 17th, at the Harrison Land and Livestock horse facility in Belt, Montana.
The “Ride to the Top” clinic is designed to help young women improve their skills and learn what it takes to compete in rodeo queen pageant horsemanship competition. Participants bring their own horses and receive one-on-one instruction from an experienced group of clinicians.
Topics to be covered will be: how to work the rodeo arena as a rodeo queen, how to work cattle, and how to prepare for the horsemanship portion of a rodeo queen pageant competition – including basic horsemanship, mounting & dismounting, patterns, arena runs, carrying flags and gaining a better relationship with your horse.
The registration cost for the clinic is: $85 for Miss Rodeo Montana membership holders and current 2011-2012 title holders; cost for non Miss Rodeo Montana, Inc. members is $95.
Registration includes: Friday night in-class instruction with Miss Rodeo Montana 2011 Lorissa Harris, with a potluck meal. Breakfast and lunches are included for participants, RV Hook-Ups are available and there is no fee for stalling.
