The Montana Council of Administrators of Special Education (MCASE) is pleased to announce that Tammy Leland, Special Education Teacher from Sidney Public Schools, has been selected as Montana’s 2012 Special Education Teacher of the Year. Ms. Leland was nominated by her peers at Sidney Public Schools who noted that Ms. Leland is an advocate for children with disabilities, is a creative problem solver who works to find the best possible solution for each child, and is highly respected by her teaching peers.
Ms. Leland was recognized at the Annual Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) conference held in Billings on April 26th. In addition, Ms. Leland will be recognized by the School Administrators of Montana at their annual Evening of Excellence to be held in Helena on June 12, 2012.
