Coach’s Comments: With temperatures in the 40s and a 30-mile an hour plus wind, all of the scores were higher. Mitchell had his best showing of the season, placing 6th overall. I was overall pleased that we placed second as a team, but know we are going to have to shoot better if we are to stay in the top three of the region. We do have the advantage of having three important meets on our home course this year. We host the Watford City Invitational on Wednesday, May 1 and the Northwest Conference on May 8. Both tournaments are regional qualifiers, which means that individuals can qualify for state if they shoot 7 over par. Hopefully, with nice weather, we can have some individuals qualify for state. The Regional Tournament is May 18 at Fox Hills Golf Course, Watford City.
