Chosen by the Library this month, Madison Gorde is a fifth grader in Mrs. Lovegren’s class. Madison has a deep love for reading and will always venture into new genres, try out new authors and quickly go for the sequel when she’s introduced to a new series. She is a natural leader as she can organize her thoughts and be sure to include others to get group work done. Madison is very helpful and is one of the most polite students at West Side. Working with younger students on their reading a couple times has been great and Madison says she really loves helping out.
Madison’s favorite subjects are math and writing, her hobby is reading, and playing outside with her dog, Holly, is another favorite pastime. She also studies tap and jazz dancing. Madison says when she grows up she would like to be a Book Critic. Her second choice is being a teacher. Madison has a younger sister, Makena, and her parents are Rich and Linda Gorde.
