Knowing about safe food handling is key to a successful food service business. ServSafe Food certification class, developed by the National Restaurant Association, is a one-day training that will certify your employees are trained in all aspects of handling food safely. Trainings will take place in Sidney and Miles City.
Sidney’s training will be held Feb. 21 at the Sidney Country Club. Contact Julie from the Montana Restaurant Association at 1-800-388-0236 for more information.
Miles City’s training will be held March 14. You must pre-register prior to Feb. 24 by contacting Tara Andrews, Custer County Extension at 406-874-3370.
Both workshops are eight hours in length with a test given at the end of class. A workshop fee is charged for materials and testing. ServSafe certification class is recommended for owners and managers of food service operations. Certification is recognized nationally and is valid for five years.
