Eagles Speech and Drama Team Competes At State

The Sidney Eagles High School Speech and Drama headed to Polson last Wednesday to compete in the Class A State Competition. The top 24 competitors in each category went head to head in three rounds on Friday and two more on Saturday. Then the field was cut to 16 for semi finals, with the top 8 competing in the Finals. The Eagles had six students make it to finals. The Speech Medalists for Extemporaneous Speaking-Kalen Hance, 3rd; Memorized Public Address-Tori Hill, 5th; Drama Medalists for Classical Duo-Ciara Parks and Taylor Fay, 4th; Humorous Solo-Carl Redman, 5th; Serious Solo-Taylor Fay, 4th; bringing to the end of a fabulous season. The team accomplished 1st-Drama Sweeps CCDHS Invitational; 1st-Drama Sweeps Sidney Invitational; 1st-Speech Sweeps Plentywood Invitational; 1st-Drama Sweeps Plentywood Invitational; 1st-Drama Sweeps Glasgow Invitational. Congratulations to the entire team for a WONDERFUL Season.
