Our skin is the largest organ in our body. It serves as a protective barrier to help prevent harmful substances from entering our body. Therefore, if we really want to protect our bodies, we need to commit to protecting our skin and making it a powerful barrier.
To learn more, attend the lesson, Nourish Your Skin, on Friday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. in the McKenzie County Courthouse meeting room in Watford City. Pre-registration is requested prior to attending. Please contact McKenzie County Extension Office at 701-444-3451 or e-mail me at [email protected].
This lesson, based on the latest research findings, will help you learn how to eat right for the sake of your skin and other ways to best take care of this organ. Attendees will also learn how to prevent skin cancer and diagnose possible early signs of cancer.
Taste testing of various “skin healthy” foods will be offered. Natural facial masks will also be available for attendees to apply to their faces.
