Dummy Roping Event Slated For Saturday

For the fourth year in a row, organizers will offer an evening of family fun with a dummy roping competition for kids and adults. This year’s event will be held at the VFW on Saturday, Jan. 21 with registration held from 4-5 p.m. and the roping action beginning at 5:30. Kids under the age of 10 will rope first, followed by the adult roping competition.

The event features a progressive roping format. People can pick one and draw one for $20; with a three head progressive after the first round.

All proceeds go to the Neil Hermanson Memorial Ranch Rodeo, an event usually held in June during the Town and Country Festival in Sidney.

Organizers invite all interested people to enter. Last year saw kids as young as 3 and 4 try their hand at roping, so the evening provides action and entertainment for the whole family. Come out and enjoy an interesting evening, and help out the Neil Hermanson Memorial Ranch Rodeo at the same time.
