The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture will have Rocky Erickson, Northern News Network sports director, as their guest speaker for the Chamber’s annual banquet on Jan. 23. The banquet will be held at the Richland County Fair Event Center in the Yellowstone Room. A no-host social will be at 6 p.m. with the prime rib dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Rocky Erickson grew up on his family’s wheat farm in Vida. He attended high school in Wolf Point and graduated from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
As news operations director of the Northern Broadcasting System he provides a network of over 80 radio stations with news and sports programming. Rocky’s daily “Montana Sports” program is heard on over 40 radio stations! He is also an eight-time winner of the “Montana Sportscaster of the Year award” from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
He is also the voice of Billings West High football and basketball and Rocky Mountain College football.
Everyone attending is encouraged to put on their favorite team apparel as the Chamber’s theme is “Team-Up for 2012”. Any business or group is invited to decorate a “Terrific Team” table for the evening as well.
Also highlighting the evening will be reports from the new and past president and executive director. The evening will culminate with the Chamber award presentations.
