Relief For Truckers

With the majority of oil industry jobs being in the trucking of products, there are many truck drivers working and living in their trucks. Many of them are having to find a place to park during their “downtime”.

A new truck park is open for trucks to rent a spot on a monthly basis, or as needed, north of Sidney on County Road 350 near County Road 132. The 350 Truck Park was developed by the Candee family of Fairview and has 72 truck spots with plug-in power for rent.

“We are set up with Wells Fargo so we can accept cash or credit cards,” says Casey Candee, co-developer. “We have separate shower facilities for both men and women with coin operated laundry available also.”

The 350 Truck Park also has extra spots for trailers to be parked and spots without electricity are also available for a negotiable fee. Candee said if they see a need for an entertainment lounge they will build one to add to the shower and laundry facilities that are already on location. Candee said there is also acreage to develop RV lots in the near future. For reservations, call 406-478-9142.

Another relief for trucks has opened recently in the Sidney area. The Primo Truck Park, located about five minutes west of Sidney, opened last week and has 80 spots. The truck park, located on Montana Highway 200 and County Road 344, is open 24 hours a day with plug-in power and video surveillance.

The facility’s shop is still being worked on and is expected to be enclosed within the week. Primo Truck Park features a shower facility, wireless internet and a lounge. For reservations, call 405-655-9292.
