As of Nov. 1, Randi and Tobin Taylor, Sidney, have become the proud owners of the Juli-Ana’s Gift store, located at 114 N. Central Ave., Sidney.
Randi, who has worked as a nurse for Dr. Karanjai for the past six years, enjoyed her work at the clinic immensely but she had always harbored a dream of owning her own store. When this opportunity presented itself, the Taylors made the decision to become business owners.
“I always wanted my own store, but I never thought that this dream would happen,” Randi remarks. “However, the opportunity came along, everything fell into place, and here I am.”
The Taylors will continue to stock many of the same collectible lines now found at the store, but they also expect to put their own individual stamp on the business by adding new merchandise and discontinuing other items. This move will transform Juli-Ana’s into a new, unique establishment. “This is a good store with a lot of beautiful items, but I want to move the store in a new direction,” Randi comments. “I will keep a lot of lines, but I plan to get new merchandise. I want to add some clothing lines, jewelry, accessories and bags. I plan to have an all-round store where people of all ages can come in and find gifts for themselves and for others.”
Randi will hold a store-wide clearance sale in the near future to make room for the new merchandise. She also encourages people to visit her establishment now and find items at discounted prices. “Every day is a sale day at this point,” she remarks. “I want people to come in, see what I’ve got, and to come back and buy again. I’m looking for customers old and new, and I welcome everyone to the store.”
Randi says she is overwhelmed at the response she has had so far, “My former patients from the clinic have come in to congratulate me and my friends have shown me continuous support,” she says. “People have been so good, and this means so much to me. People have offered suggestions and comments as well, and I plan to use these suggestions when I order new merchandise.”
Randi invites people to stop in and browse at her store. “Here I am, come see me,” she remarks. “I want people to stop in and visit. I invite everyone to come see the store and I welcome all suggestions.”
Juli-Ana’s Gifts is open for business from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Saturdays from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
