Food Safety Education For Restaurant Employees Offered

Food Safety education is a good investment for food related businesses. The upcoming food safety workshop is one that employees and managers can benefit from and ensure a higher level of food safety to their customers.

Tuesday, Oct. 11, from 2-4 p.m. or Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9-11 a.m., a food safety workshop will be held in the MSU Richland County Conference Room, 1499 N Central, Sidney. The program will be presented by food safety educator Judy Johnson, MSU Richland County Extension Agent. The program is offered free of charge.

Participants, whether they are new employees or long-term food service workers will learn about hazardous foods, safe food handling practices, importance of personal hygiene, temperature control and cleaning and sanitizing.
