MSU Extension Lists Resources Online For Montana Flood Victims

Montana State University Extension has published an online list of resources to help Montanans impacted by floods.

“Montana Flooding: Resources to Help You Cope with Montana’s Rising Water” can be found at: http://www.msuextension.org/. It is an outreach resource for people with questions on how to deal with questions ranging from how to prepare to evacuate to seepage, mold and well issues, among others.

The page also includes several video instructions on such things as how to build a sandbag dike to what to do when you return to your flooded home. In addition, the page includes Tweets from throughout Montana giving up-to-the-minute information on flooding status.

“The folks in Montana are hungry for any information to help them cope with all this water,” said Millie Veltkamp, Extension information technology and distribution coordinator. “We know they don’t have a huge amount of time to spend searching the Internet for accurate, timely information, so we wanted to help by providing a sort of ‘one stop shop’ for credible, information to help protect their homes and provide recovery assistance if they do get flooded.”
