McKenzie County 4-H’ers received top honors in the Northwest District Archery Match on Saturday, Feb. 1 in Minot. Sidney High School Speech, Drama and Debate Team travelled to Custer County for Super Divisionals. The Super Divisionals send the top 12 in every category, with the top eight receiving medals. The event at the Sidney high school raised over $2,000 from T-shirt sales for the MonDak Boys and Girls Club in both Sidney and Glendive. It started with an idea of a special event, wrestling match at a varsity basketball game! Combine the two sports into a one-time special event. Hold a wrestling match that will take place between the boys and girls varsity basketball games. An event within an event. It has never been done before in Sidney. Badlands Bulleyes 4-H Shooting Sports Club is proud to announce the Third Annual Badlands Roundup 4-H Archery Match to be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Rough Rider Center Fieldhouse, Watford City. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m. and flights will be held from 9:30 a.m.-1:45 p.m. Beginner, Junior and Senior Barebow participants will shoot 30 arrows at 15 yards. Sidney Home Meet took place over Friday and Saturday, Jan. 3 and 4. The Drama Team dominated with 121 points (closest team had 52) bringing home the 1st place trophy. Speech and Debate placed 3rd.
