    The Sidney Eagle cross country team competed in Billings on Friday, Aug 30. The varsity Eagle girls were led by Ryleigh Kleinke, who placed 7th overall. Layla Petrik, an 8th grader, placed 24th out of 121 girls in the JV race. The JV girls team placed 14th overall. The varsity Eagle boys were led by Carter Heggem who placed 13th overall.     The Sidney Eagle golf team competed in Miles City on Friday, Aug. 30. The girls team finished in 2nd place with a team score of 391. The Eagle girls were led by sophomore McKenna Tiesen. Tiesen shot a 92 and placed 5th overall. The Eagle boys tied for 3rd place in the team scores by shooting a 337. The leading Eagle boy was Brady Collins who shot an 80 and tied for 7th place overall.     The new Sidney head football coach, Jace Schillinger, grew up playing sports in Baker, MT. He graduated high school in 2000. From there, he played football while attending Dickinson State University, graduating in 2005. His coaching career began at Billings Central, then led back to Dickinson State.     The first annual Sidney Tennis Tournament is currently underway. It began Aug. 11 and goes until Sept. 29. Matches take place at the tennis courts which are located by the skate park.
