The Sidney Eagle golf team traveled to Glendive on Friday, Sept. 6 for a dual against the Red Devils. The dual started at 9 a.m. at the Cottonwood Country Club. Sidney had 23 golfers competing and Glendive had 25. Therefore, two of the Sidney Eagle players had to play two matches at the same time. The new Sidney head football coach, Jace Schillinger, grew up playing sports in Baker, MT. He graduated high school in 2000. From there, he played football while attending Dickinson State University, graduating in 2005. His coaching career began at Billings Central, then led back to Dickinson State. On Tuesday, Aug. 20, the Sidney High School Golf team opened their season by hosting the Sidney Triangular Golf Tournament at the Sidney Country Club. The first annual Sidney Tennis Tournament is currently underway. It began Aug. 11 and goes until Sept. 29. Matches take place at the tennis courts which are located by the skate park.
