    The Sidney High School Golf Team had an excellent day on Friday, Sept. 27 at the Eastern A Divisional meet in Laurel. Both of the girls' and boys' teams took home third place and will compete next week at the State A tournament in Polson. The boys shot a team score of 336 and had two players finish in the top 15 to earn All-Conference honors: Brady Collins in 3rd place with a 77, and Kalen Price in 15th place with an 84.   • Alexander High School Hosting 4-Person Golf Scramble Saturday

    The Alexander High School Student Council will be hosting a 4-person team golf scramble tournament on Oct. 5 at Fox Hills Golf Course in Watford City. The registration per team is $500 and includes green fees, carts, and food. Various prizes will also be given. The proceeds will go to hosting school events and purchasing a mascot uniform. Sign-in for teams will be held at 11 a.m. at the golf course and the tournament will begin at 12 p.m. If you are interested in donating prizes or in registering a team please contact Amber Severson, student...

    The number one ranked Fairview Warriors travelled to Plentywood for a conference matchup. Once again, the Warriors were prolific on offense jumping to a 20-0 first quarter lead and extending that to 40-0 at halftime. The final score ended up 52-12 Warriors. Wyatt McPherson led the rushing attack with 106 yards on 10 carries and 2 touchdowns. Troy Karst had 2 more rushing touchdowns and added a receiving touchdown.     The Sidney Eagle Cross Country team was split up for two different meets on Saturday, Sept. 28. Four runners were in Missoula at the Mountain West Meet. In the Boys division, Carter Heggum placed 85th in over 400 runners with the time of 17:7.3. Dyson Romo placed 286 with the time of 19:05.5. In the girls’ division, Ryleigh Kleinke placed 115th running 21:28.5 and Morgan Kindopp placed 236th running 23:12.5. The rest of the cross-country team had some great results in Plentywood.     Representatives from Richland Rangers Youth Hockey chose an opportune time to attend the Sidney Council meeting Monday, Sept. 16. Their request to the city was for the repair of the parking lot at the hockey facility which they said, and others agreed, was getting very bad.     The Sidney Eagle varsity golf team hosted the top ranked team in the state, the Laurel Locomotives, for a dual on Thursday, Sept. 12. Due to lightning, thunder, rain, and winds the players were called off the course twice, and therefore play was suspended for the day. Only two Sidney players were able to finish all 18 holes.
