Fox Hills Golf Course, Watford City, was proud to host the local qualifier for PGA Jr. League's Drive, Chip & Putt program on July 19. This last June, Cye Franzen earned his ticket to the National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Perry, GA; and he punched that ticket as the now reining 2023 National Junior High School Rodeo Steer Saddle Bronc Rider. The Sidney Tiger Sharks had another fantastic weekend of competing in Glendive. It was a cloudy slow starting Saturday so not a lot of time was cut, but the Sharks rallied back to win the meet. The Sidney Trap Club was very busy Sunday, June 25 hosting the Sidney Lions Club 6th Annual Family Fun Trap Shoot. Sidney resident and Richland County native 'Smokin' Hank Berry competed at the Williston Basin Speedway Friday, June 23 and will be back Tuesday July 11 with the Dakota Mod Tour, just two of the 35 races he'll compete in this year.
