The annual Sidney Smoker, benefiting the Sidney Wrestling Club, will be held on May 2. The BBQ will start at 4:30, with the fights following at 6:30 in the Sidney High School gym. This year’s event will be Sidney AAU Wrestling versus the Fairview Boxing Club. The cost is $6 for students and $8 for adults. Ringside seats are first come, first serve. This is an annual tournament held every year in Rapid City. The girls qualified by winning state this year in the North Dakota state hockey tournament. There were seven teams, three from North Dakota and two each from South Dakota and Wyoming. While they were there they played both teams from Wyoming, beating them; and one team from South Dakota.
