The Patriots fell short in the first game against the Billings Blue Jays on June 14 by an 11-6 margin. The Blue Jays outscored Richland by an 8-1 margin during the opening four innings.     Kory Halvorson came through with a single that scored two runners as the Richland County Patriots knocked off Miles City, 6-4, in the first game of a home double-header Sunday.     State championship efforts in the pole vault and a strong overall showing by Michael McGinnis highlighted Sidney's performance at the Class A state track meet. Fairview's senior Ben Hardy placed second in the discus with a mark of 153-0, He placed fifth in the shot put with a best of 44-10.     Sidney product Abigail Haraldson, a junior at Concordia College in Minnesota, didn't only become the new record-holder for most strike-outs in a season, she shattered the school's record.     The current district structure for Eastern C divisional basketball may change as soon as the 2017-2018 school year. “There won’t be any changes for next [school] year,” Kara Triplett, Eastern C president, said.     For the first time in the cooperative's history, the R&L Fusion captured the Eastern C divisional championship in boys track. The Fusion won the meet in Sidney Thursday with 119 points. Fairview placed second with 89 and Savage earned third with 85 points. "The kids worked hard," Fusion Coach Larry Sommerfeld said of the title.
