The Sidney Middle School AAU Wrestlers had another big weekend on the road. Friday the wrestlers traveled to Billings to dual the Darkhorse Club Middle School Wrestlers. The Eagles were victorious in very tough and exciting matches that ended with a 49-47 Eagle win. The wrestlers got on the bus after the dual and headed for Belgrade. Watford City Lady Wolves defeated the Parshall Braves 63-45 to claim the District 15 Championship on Monday. The Sidney Eagle wrestlers traveled to Havre last Saturday for divisionals. Havre placed first with 273.5 points and Sidney placed 2nd with 216 points. State Speech Drama & Debate was in Belgrade last weekend. Twenty three Eagles competed against the best of the best in the whole state of Montana. January 16 was the Julie Ziegler Invitational at Bismark, ND. Teams at the event consisted of Sidney Gymnastics Club (SGC), Jamestown Gymnastc Club, Bismarck Gymnastics Academy, Minot Gymagic, Red River Valley Gymnastics, TNT Gymnastics (Fargo), Valley City Twister, Dickison Gymnastics Club, Dakota Star Gymnastics (Mandan), and Williston Western Stars Gymnastics. January 23rd was the Star struck Invitational in Mandan, ND, where Sidney Gymnastics club (SGC) beat Bismarck for the first time since Coaches Pat & Jan McWilliams took over the program. The other teams present were Bismarck Gymnastics, Northern Pacific Gymnastics (Miles City), and Dakota Star Gymnastics (Mandan).
