The Tiger Sharks took a total of 45 competitors to Lewistown to compete for State. Despite many of them swimming their best times not all of them made it to Sunday. As in all individual team sports you can only ask your athletes to give it their best, and personal bests at State are a great way to end the season. The overall team did not place as high as I wanted them to, but we are in a rebuilding year and are looking for more swimmers especially in the older boy age range. The Divisional Swim Meet was held in Sidney, Saturday, July 29 and Sunday July 30. The Sidney Tiger Sharks had 3 high point winners: Corben Holler, Morgan Kindopp, and Hadley Garsjo. The Tiger Sharks swam this weekend in Glendive. The heat wave could not stop the sharks. They showed up ready to compete. We took 50 swimmers with us and all but 4 made it to Sunday. We had 6 take high points for their age groups: Torey Dahl 15-19, Hadley Garsjo 13-14, Seth Dodds 13-14, Marrett Schieber 9-10, Corben Holler 9-10, Morgan Kindopp 8 and under. It was a great racing weekend for the Tiger Sharks in Plentywood. We took a total of 52 swimmers to Plentywood and they swam very well. For some, it was the first race of the season and others have been going to each race focusing on shaving time. The team swam well cutting times on both Saturday and Sunday.
