The Sharks did it again. They are back-to-back state champs and this coach couldn’t be more proud. We had a great showing on Saturday and the majority made it to finals on Sunday. The Richland County Food Bank is quickly settling in to its new home at 517 E. Main, Sidney. In just 1 1/2 days on Sept. 19 & 20, food bank staff, with massive help from the City of Sidney, LDS elders, Boy Scout Troop 141, and employees of EOG transferred freezers, shelving and food items. The 2022 sugar beet harvest wrapped up last week with both tonnage and sugar content coming in lower than expected. According to Sidney Sugars agricultural manager Duane Peters, the yield was unusually field specific with highs and lows in individual fields rather than in an overall area.
