    Montana’s Fish &Wildlife Commission is seeking comments on the state’s 2013-14 waterfowl seasons. Among other things, FWP commissioners are seeking comments on a split season for geese in the Central Flyway and on both ducks and geese in the Pacific Flyway. Proposed dates for the Central Flyway are: ducks, Sept. 28–Jan. 2, and geese, Sept. 28–Jan. 5 and Jan. 10–14, with the goose season closed Jan. 6–9.     North Dakota’s dove season opens statewide Sept. 1, and hunters are reminded to register with the Harvest Information Program prior to hunting. The daily limit is 15 and possession limit is 45. Shooting hours are 30 minutes before sunrise to sunset. The season is open through Oct. 30.     Richland County 4-H clubs have been holding fundraisers to earn money to build a new food booth at the Richland County Fairgrounds. The fundraising efforts include selling brand boards, memorial plaques and various other fundraising events conducted by the 4-H clubs in the area. The brand board fundraiser consists of a square foot (12 inch by 12 inch) board on which area ranchers can place their personal brand.     All signs still point to an above average sugarbeet crop. Soil samples taken last week were the second best in the past five years according to Sidney Sugars agriculturalist Russ Fullmer.
