The Fairview community has come together to put on this benefit to support Hopes in her fight against breast cancer. Hopes has been battling breast cancer since the beginning of 2020. Sidney Public Schools is sponsoring a required workshop for all individuals planning to work as substitute teachers during the 2020/2021 school year. After considering several options, the Sidney Chamber’s Sunrise Festival of the Arts has decided that the event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 22, at Veterans Memorial Park. The committee found that no date was perfect, but Aug. 22 has less conflicts both locally and regionally than other dates. Most vendors seem to be in favor when asked about attending on Aug. 22. On June 14 the Doggie Dash will take place starting and finishing at the South Paw Dog Park in South Meadow, Sidney. The Aloha themed race will start at 2 pm, check in begins at 1 pm.
