The final Richland County Farmers Market of the season will be held Saturday, Oct. 8 from 7:30 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Courthouse parking lot, on the corner of 2nd St. NW and 2nd Ave. NW in Sidney. This market season has been a success for our vendors, thanks to the community support. It’s Kiwanis fruit sales time once again! The club’s biggest fundraiser, which all goes to support youth in our area, is on now through Sept. 28. New this year are honeycrisp apples, adding to the popular gala apples and Bartlett pears. Anyone wishing to contribute but who can’t use the fruit may consider donating to The Boys and Girls Club or local food banks and schools. Boxes are $30 each and available from any Kiwanian. Delivery will be mid-October....
On Thursday, Oct. 6 come enjoy a pitchfork fondue of flat iron steak, salad, potato and dessert at the Sidney Elks Lodge. Beverages will be available for purchase at the Elks Bar. The social begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. There will be live music, dancing and a lot of fun. Please purchase your $35 ticket one week prior to the event.
