Students will scavenger hunt around town for prizes and “money”. At dawn they will have a Chinese style action for prizes. The goal is to clean up specific blocks in designated areas and also challenge businesses to spring clean their store fronts. The theme of the event is “Talk Trashy to Me!” There will be a contest in two categories which consist of Biggest Crew and Best Results. Volunteers plan to pack over 130,000 meals. “This is our 4th year participating in the event. We haven’t done one since 2020 because of Covid but we’re looking forward to getting back into our yearly campaign,” said organizer Angie Hartel.     An 8-hour Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) ServSafe course will be held Friday, May 19 at Dawson County Courthouse Community Room (basement), Glendive. The course runs from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and is taught by former registered sanitarian Kevin Pena.
