On Saturday, October 25 the North Dakota Motocross Association held its 39th Annual Awards Banquet in Mandan, ND. Several area athletes raced throughout the summer competing for the year-end-points and were awarded trophies. Among these riders were William and Wes VanHook of Sidney, MT. Participants of all ages enjoyed a beautiful day for a "fun run" to honor the late Connie Wold. The 6th annual Connie Wold Memorial Run was held on Saturday with over 100 participants. Incorporated with this years run was a Fall Fun Run for elementary and preschool kids organized by Watford City Elementary Physical Education teacher, Kelli Taylor. The results are in and, once again, E-rase your E-waste organizers have exceeded the goal they set for their 2014 annual collection events. "We wanted to celebrate our 10th anniversary by collecting enough e-waste to bring our 10-year total over 175 tons, and we did it with one and a half tons to spare," Committee Chair Jackie Couture noted.
