A 1969 Ford Mustang with its left turn signal activated was stopped near the fog line facing west waiting to make a left turn off Highway 23 onto a gravel road. On May 14, at approximately 7:49 p.m., the Watford City Police Department and McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of an injured big horn sheep that was located in the 400 block of 5th St. NE. After the Northwest Judicial District issued a warrant on April 15 for his arrest, Hugo Hernandez surrendered to authorities in Gillette, Wy., on April 18, in relation to the investigation of the 2023 shooting death of Brianne Anderson in Watford City.
