    Canisters at the Richland County landfill have been closed temporarily due to the dumping of about 30 barrels of oil over two weekends. County Commissioners said the canisters will reopen on Thursday, November 9th but Commissioner Loren Young said,“If the abuse starts up again, we will consider closing them again.” The county has seen an uptick in dumping at sites in Lambert and Savage as well as at the landfill.     The Sidney High School boys track team came home champions from the Montana State Class A track meet held in Laurel May 26 & 27. The boys were escorted through town Sunday morning by the fire truck, ambulance and police. The last time the Sidney boys brought home a state championship was in 1959. This will be a poker run for those wishing to participate.
