Hinds appeared before Sidney City Court Judge Luke Savage who advised Hinds of the charges against her. Hinds requested a public defender, but declined to have a probable cause hearing. What began as a hobby turned unexpectedly into a successful business for Cartwright's Erin Roedeske, owner and floral designer for Wild Prairie Floral Designs. Even though irrigators have been using the water for decades, those water rights are not officially recorded with the state, which is currently going through the water adjudication process.
