The fall project of Sidney FFA and Agriculture Education students came to a completion recently as Marianne Gartner, Ethan Chamberlain and Ryan Steinbeisser put the finishing touches to the receiving center at Richland Opportunity Inc.. The annual sugar beet harvest began this next week beginning with Culbertson, Savage and the factory yard on Monday, September 30; Sugar Valley and Pleasantview on Tuesday, October 1 and Powder River on October 2. The factory started processing beets on October 1. Brenda Larson and the staff of Creative Solutions are busy putting the final touches on this year’s Parade of Homes which will take place on Sunday, September 29. The project is a fundraiser for the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County to help them fund a much needed permanent home. Last year the event raised $10,000 and Larsen is hoping to increase that amount.
