Edwin D. Beery 74, of Vida, eldest son of Margaret and Newell Beery passed into Eternity on March 27th, 2014 at the Billings Clinic from complications of a worn out heart. Eddy was born on Aug. 25, 1939 in Wolf Point, Montana. He lived and breathed the family farm and ranch from birth to death. Eddy graduated from Richey High School in 1957 and was always proud of being a Richey Royal. Eddy will be dearly missed by his family and community. Danny “AC” Beery, age 69, was born on January 15, 1945 in Bedford, Iowa. Two years later he and his family moved to the family farm west of Richey. Danny died in the house he was raised in just 67 years later on March 22, 2014. Funeral services were held at 1 pm, March 26, 2014 at the Methodist Church in Richey with Pastor White, a long time friend, officiating. Interment was held at the farm west of Richey. The 4 Kids Farm Show Pig Sale went on despite the blizzarding weather. Buyers from Miles City, Circle, Richey, Glendive, Savage, Wolf Point and Sidney made it to the event. Although the attendance was down significantly from last year due to the weather, all the pigs were sold. Coming in just short of last year’s average, all 55 pigs have new homes. The annual Donkey Ball game will be held at Sidney High School April 11 starting at 6:30 pm. The event is a fundraiser put on by the Sidney FFA to support local FFA chapters. Four teams of FFA members and alumni will play a basketball game that’s a little different, they ride donkeys. One team from each of the Richey, Lambert, Savage, and Sidney FFA chapters will be participating. Tickets may be purchased from a FFA member from the attending chapters or purchased at the door....
