U.S. Geological Survey scientists will inject a harmless, bright red fluorescent dye into the Yellowstone River during the week of June 26, 2017, weather permitting. Fort Union Trading Post is currently open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time. On Monday, May 29, Fort Union will begin its summer hours.
