    The Fairview Fire Department responded to calls on Tuesday Sept. 10 about a semi starting four grass fires along ND Highway 200 due to an unconfirmed mechanical issue. The semi driver continued on his route and was not stopped at any point. Fairview Fire Chief Ryan Taylor was assisted by Sidney Fire Department and Alexander Fire Department in shutting down the fire.     The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a family boating on the Yellowstone River regarding a body hanging from the Fairview Bridge at 3:49 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Aug. 25.     On Wednesday, Aug. 14 at 6:13 p.m. CT a 2013 Kenworth semi pulling a side dump trailer loaded with scoria was driving north on 142nd Ave. NW near 17th St. NW in McKenzie County. The Kenworth left the roadway and began to enter the east ditch. The driver, Connor Gravley, El Paso, TX, began to overcorrect in an attempt to keep the Kenworth on the roadway.     According to Detective Brandon Kindred of the McKenzie County Sheriff’s office, the investigation into the death of Valentine Ene who died several days after an assault on June 1, 2024 is on-going.
