In January 2019, the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County will merge with the Boys & Girls Club of Dawson County, creating the Boys & Girls Club of the MonDak Region with Elaine Stedman as CEO. The Montana Department of Transportation will hold an educational open house focused on teaching drivers to safely navigate the new roundabout under construction south of Sidney. The Sharks swam in Glendive last weekend. We brought 65 swimmers ranging from long time Sharks, to first meet ever Sharks. Many swimmers cut from their best times this weekend and I was very proud of how hard they all worked. Hadley Garsjo earned top girl for the Girls 15-19 year olds. This is Hadley's first meet of the season and first year in this age group. The Tiger Sharks took 1st overall from this meet. The TigerSharks competed in Plentywood this weekend. We had 45 athletes go to compete and 18 relays. The sharks took 2nd place overall and 1st in the relays. Earning Top Boy for the 9-10 year olds was Parker Wunder from the Tiger Sharks. This is his first time since being a shark that he has earned Top Boy. Corben Holler also earned enough points to get Top Boy in the 11-12 age group. Next weekend we compete in Glendive and then we are home in Sidney for some Shark Infested water competition...

The 2018 paddlefish season on the Yellowstone River and the Missouri River downstream of Fort Peck Dam (yellow tags) has been under way for over a week, and as of Saturday, 284 paddlefish have been processed at the Intake Fishing Access Site station near Glendive. The estimated harvest for the entire basin was 265 fish. The high volume of water and rapid flows continue to challenge angler success.
