On Tuesday September 10th, Fairview Fire Department responded to calls about a semi starting four grass fires along ND Highway 200 due to an unconfirmed mechanical issue. The semi driver continued on his route and was not stopped at any point. The McKenzie County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a family boating on the Yellowstone River regarding a body hanging from the Fairview Bridge at 3:49 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Aug. 25. Detective Brandon Kindred said their office determined that the incident was a suicide and there is no foul play suspected. On July 7, the Ceynar family faced a devastating tragedy when a house fire destroyed their home and all their possessions.
