With Christmas right around the corner, it's time to gear up for the annual Christmas Stroll. Samples from three deer harvested in southeast Montana have tested positive for Chronic Wasting Disease. These are the first positive results in the southeastern corner of the state. “The growers did a good job of getting the beets out of the ground,” stated Sidney Sugars general manager David Garland last Friday. Beet harvest for area growers officially ended on November 5 with an average of 31.89 tons per acre and 17.02 sugar.
