With close to nine inches of rain in the past month, some community members are facing issues with their basements flooding. Public Works Director Jeff Hintz said the problem is that the groundwater is unusually high, leaving the rain water nowhere to go. “The ground is just so saturated,” Hintz said. The Richland County Health Department has scheduled the annual Mass Flu Shot Clinic on October 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Flu shots are also available during normal clinic hours for those who cannot attend on October 3.
