The North Dakota Community Action Sportsmen Against Hunger program is accepting donations of goose meat taken during the early Canada goose season. In addition, the program will accept Canada and light (snow, blue and Ross’s) goose donations during the regular waterfowl season. Opening weekend of North Dakota's deer season 2014 was really cold, but first time hunter Valerie Deicks, Cartwright, stuck it out and was rewarded with a 4-point mule deer buck. Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has upcoming plans to temporarily close the Sidney Bridge Fishing Access Site boat ramp located near Sidney. Construction began Aug. 24 on replacing the lower portion of the concrete boat ramp. Fish, Wildlife, & Parks (FWP) will be taking advantage of current low water levels in the Yellowstone River to improve the ramp, which currently has a hazardous drop-off at the end of the ramp.
