The Sidney Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting “The Beautification of Downtown Sidney” Friday, May 12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.. The goal is to clean up specific blocks in designated areas and also challenge businesses to spring clean their store fronts. The Richland County 4-H Horse Club is having an Equine Run on Sunday, May 14, west of Fairview and is inviting the public to join them. Designed similar to a poker run the 4-H horse club is having an equine-based community event. The eight-mile trail ride starts at 34787 County Rd 134 and proceeds across lovely spring pastureland along the beautiful hills of eastern Montana. The St. Matthew’s Spring Fling will take place Saturday, May 6 from 7-11 p.m. for Grades 6-8, and open to all area youth. This semi-formal dance will take place at St. Matthew’s Parish Center, Sidney. The McKenzie County Job Development Authority is seeking support for the construction of single-family dwellings in McKenzie County to address the current housing shortage through the creation of a JDA Home Builder Construction Loan Participation Program.
