    As a kid, my first memories of the Richland County Fair started in the dining room where I grew up 8 miles west of Sidney. From early in the summer, the dining room table stayed occupied by the big seed picture being worked on by the Mount Pleasant Homemakers Club.     The Richland County Fair & Rodeo will feature some new construction for this year's event. The new 4-H complex and buildings were built with B&B Builders as the general contractors for the project. The new complex consists of a horse barn and stalls; a sheep, swine and goat barn and a cattle barn. Along with these three separate barns, there is also a new show area with expanded grandstands.     Sherry Sorenson has been the Grounds Supervisor at the Richland County Fair and Rodeo for the past 18 years. There have been many good changes over the years from a new Beer Garden, Event Center, Exhibit building and bathroom facilities with the most recent project of the new 4-H Barn Complex. With events being held year-round, on site she does everything from snow removal to cleaning of the Event Center.
